Overview
Sheffer Hall, which contains the old dining hall, also contains one large meeting room and several small conference rooms that are ideal for groups ranging from 10 to 240 people. Meeting rooms in Sheffer Hall include the Newton County Conference Room, Room 105, Computer Lab, Tumlin Room, David Skinner Room, the Terrace Room, and the Sheffer Hall Dining Room. All of the meeting rooms in Sheffer Hall have wireless internet available.
The Newton County Conference Room is approximately 30' x 45' and will hold up to 100 people theater style. It is equipped with two mounted TV/VHS/DVD units, projection screen, and cork strips for hanging materials on the wall.
Room 105 is a small classroom adjacent to Newton County Conference Room that is 15' x 32' and will hold approximately 25 people.
The Computer Lab is downstairs of Sheffer Hall. The lab is available for rental by education groups. It contains 12 computers with printers and high speed internet. This room is not available for general use or as a meeting room.
The Tumlin Room is a small comfortable meeting ideal for groups up to 25, but will hold up to 40 theater style. It is approx. 22' x 28'. It has a big screen TV/VCR available for rental.
The Terrace Room provides an excellent atmosphere. It is upstairs and is adjacent to the dining hall. It has a cathedral ceiling and an outdoor terrace. The Terrace Room is approx. 32' x 42' and holds up to 100 people theater style.
The David Skinner Room is a small board-room style room located upstairs of Sheffer Hall. This room is great for adult day meetings of up to 12 people.
The Sheffer Hall Dining Room is the original camp dining hall. It is set up dining style for 240 people. The room is great for breakout space and workshops.
